Harbor Master Monster Cove

The latest update of Harbor Master just came out!

In Monster Cove, monsters live at the docks and like to emerge from the muddy depths to capture a docked ship, or just to take over an empty dock. You will need strength, stamina, and a quick eye to scare off the tentacled beast. Tap on it many times to send it slithering back into the murky waters and free up your dock.

Monster Cove is tough, but you have a strategic advantage - the dock on the right unloads 4 times as fast as normal docks. You can send your big ships there to get them out faster.

Also, we're working on bluetooth multiplayer for the next update (woot!). It's definitely more technically challenging than doing a new level, so it's going to take us a while. Definitely longer than the usual 2-week update. I'll post more details as we figure them out :)

We're also working on another game at the moment. So after the multiplayer update for Harbor Master, we're going to focus on finishing up this new game and hold off on further Harbor Master updates for a while. Really excited about this new game! I haven't really seen anything like it in the App Store, and it's pretty addicting. I'll post up some screenshots as soon as our very talented artists do their magic and make it pretty. Because I know nobody wants to see programmer art :)

What went down after our servers went down

It's been a long couple of weeks with no updates. And what a couple of weeks it's been! Here's the rundown:

Tuesday, July 14 - Harbor Master was featured under What's Hot in the US and UK App Stores. Happy Bastille Day indeed!

Wednesday, July 15 - Pirates! Harbor Master Episode 2 (Cannon Beach) is out. Mastering the Harbor becomes even more challenging as pirates attack.

Thursday, July 16 - Harbor Master hits #2 Top Paid App in the UK. Huzzah!

Friday, July 17 - Harbor Master is the #3 Top Paid App in the US. Harbor Mastery has never been this cool.

Tuesday, July 21 - Incredulous and unprepared for our success, our global high score server crashes in protest, taking down our website, email, and this blog along with it. Numerous server migrations later, we're back in action.

Saturday, July 25 - Smugglers' Reef - Harbor Master Episode 3 is out. Delivering cargo now takes an extra level of focus, as ships come laden with different types of cargo that need to be delivered at different docks. The brilliant Harbor Master artist Jujubi kicks off the leaderboard with the impressive score of 366, prompting worldwide accusations of cheating, corruption, and nepotism. To the critics - the scores are legit, I've seen her do it. But of course, it helps that she has 7 hands.

Wednesday, August 5 - The epically awesome Dave and Allan of Bolt Creative release a Harbor Master minigame inside Pocket God called Bait Master, finally convincing the world that they are a pair of very precocious 12 year olds.

Friday, August 7 - We reciprocate with Episode 4: Pocket God Attacks! Turn your boats into the infamous pygmies and help them "unload their cargo" when you unlock the not-so-secret Pocket God mode. Here's how to do it:

Hold down on the word 'Harbor Master' on the main menu above the green guy for at least 3 seconds, until the dancing pygmy falls from the sky. Then play as usual! To disable Pocket God mode, just flick the pygmy away. Make sure you have your sound on!

If you don't have Pocket God yet, buy it now!

Thanks to Bolt Creative for doing this crossover with us. We love you guys!
